My Dog ate my Internet!

So, I am sure you’ve heard the excuse, “my dog ate my homework.” Imagine my surprise when I went to log onto my computer a few days ago and there was no access to the Internet. I looked outside–no rain. I unplugged the DSL modem, counted to 30 and plugged it back in. I even rebooted my computer. No luck. I was stumped!
I decided to go out and feed the puppies then come back in and try to figure out what was wrong; however, there, right in the back yard, were two ends to a cable sticking out of the ground. It seemed to be missing about two feet. There was an awfully big hole, as well.
I started looking around for the guilty culprit and found my youngest dog, “Rosebud”, with a very dirty nose. “Ah-ha”! I walked over to her and had a very serious discussion in mind to give to her. It was then that I noticed the little orange wire hanging out of her mouth.
She wagged her tail and dropped the wire on my toes. She was so proud of herself. She had killed the “bad snake thing” in the yard.
